DO YOU NEED HELP WITH FUNDING PAYMENT OF YOUR FEES FOR ONE OF OUR COURSES?
If you would like to join either of the Academy’s Certificate or Diploma courses but are unable to afford the course fees, then financial assistance may be available to help you.
Ideally you need a letter of recommendation from your Parish Priest or Diocesan department etc, and you should start by asking for sponsorship from your parish (or diocese) to cover part of your fees. This would be particularly appropriate if you perform a ministry in your parish, such as catechesis for children, or RCIA or if you are a Reader or Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
If your parish is unable to sponsor you, or if the amount of the parish sponsorship is insufficient to cover the shortfall in fees that you can fund yourself, then the Academy’s bursary fund may be able to contribute towards the difference.
The Academy Trustees have established a small bursary fund to help towards the fees of a limited number of potential students who cannot pay the full fee themselves. The Academy has no surplus funds – all its income is used to fund its limited but essential expenses without which the Academy would not exist. Consequently the bursary fund is funded entirely by donations and can only be used to help towards funding people who would otherwise be genuinely unable to fund their fees in full.
Before you apply for a bursary from the Academy bursary fund you must have explored all other means of funding your fees.
